Past President's Plaque: This plaque lists all SDAA presidents since the inception of the organization in 1958
Honorary Life Membership: May be presented to any active member who has provided meritorious service to the Association and has made an outstanding contribution to the Association is eligible.
Honorary Membership: May be conferred upon any person who has distinguished themselves in the dental profession, the allied sciences, or any other socially valuable activity and who has allied in promoting the welfare of the dental assistant.
Penny Waite Achievement Award: May be conferred upon any active member who promotes the ideals of the SDAA and has made an outstanding contribution to the field of dental assisting, the association or the community at large.
The Marg Steckler Award of Excellence: May be conferred upon any individual who strives for strength of character and integrity, promotes a national vision, promotes and supports lifelong learning, has dheld a position on the SDAA board or council, has participated on an SDAA committee, has held a dental assistant licence in Saskatchewan for a minimum of 5 years and holds national certification or the NDAEB certificate.
The Susan Anholt Mentorship Award: will be presented annually to an active member of the Saskatchewan Dental Assistants’ Association, this award recognizes a member who has served to promote the practice of dental assisting, has outstanding leadership and exceptional mentorship abilities. This member has proven their abilities within the Association OR within their own place of employment and within their community.
SDAA General Merit Award: Conferred on a dental assistant student who demonstrates academic achievement, practical performance, professional deportment, co-operation, participation and attendance. The student will receive a framed certificate, portfolio and a $250.00 bursary.
SDAA Outstanding Academic Achievement: Conferred on a dental assistant student with the highest academic standing. The student will receive a framed certificate, portfolio and a $250.00 bursary.
Twenty-Five Year Service Awards: Presented to dental assistants that have been a member of the dental assisting profession for at least 25 years and held a minimum of 25 years of licensure within Saskatchewan.
