DIRECTORY OF FRENCH SPEAKING HEALTH PROFESSIONALS

In partnership with the College of Medicine, department of Community Health & Epidemiology, the Saskatchewan Network for Health Services in French/ Réseau Santé en Français de la Saskatchewan (RSFS) is in the process of updating the directory of health professionals who are willing to speak at least some French in their provision of health services. We are also seeking to add professionals who are new to the province, recently graduated or simply newly interested. Professionals are added to the directory on a volunteer basis and there are no legal obligations associated with being listed. If you would like more information or are willing to be listed please contact Katie Pospiech at katie.pospiech@usask.ca or (306) 966-1270.  Thank you very much.

I was honoured to attend a retirement tea for Mary Anne Wailing, RDH on Sunday, June 14. Mary Anne taught in the Dental Assistant Program at Kelsey Institute in Saskatoon for the duration of that program and has since practised dental hygiene at various clinics. Apparently a cumulative total of 50 years. Various members of the former Kelsey Instructional Staff from over the years 1969 - 1987 gathered as well. Those in attendance included Betty Hatzel, Glenda Tourney, Wendy Wright (Balsden), Shirley Howie, Margaret Steckler, Carole Tremblay and Helen Osback. The profession of dental assisting owes a debt of gratitude to these women for the foundation they laid for the profession of dental assisting in Saskatchewan. Thank you!
