PLEASE CONSIDER SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION TO AN OPENING ON SDAA COUNCIL

  • 3 year term of office (once renewable)
  • 4 meetings a year (SOHP conference included)
  • Mileage and honorarium for all meetings
  • Must be willing to communicate efficiently by email in a timely manner
  • Please submit your aplication to the SDAA office via email
  • Provided applications are received, Council will make the appointment on October 25, 2014

With regret, President Cara Breton, RDA recently accepted the resignation of Dr. Pam Kashuba, RDA. Pam was a new council member and brought a vast range of expertise and insight to council. Thank you Pam for the timethat you were able to commit to SDAA.

University of Saskatchewan Survey on the
Prevalence of Early Childhood Caries (ECC)

in children of oral health professionals of Saskatchewan

Dear Oral Health Professionals and educators of Saskatchewan!

If you are a parent of a child/children one to six years of age we are inviting you to participate in this academic online survey. Participation in this survey is voluntary and you can stop the survey at any time. Your information will be kept strictly confidential and none of the answers that you provide will be attributed to you personally. There are five professional Association that are going to participate in this survey!

Questions to be addressed are:

  • Is oral health knowledge a major factor in ECC prevention?
  • Can knowledge itself prevent/reduce the development of caries in children?
  • What other non-physiological factors play a role in ECC development? 

This project was reviewed and approved on ethical grounds by the U of S Behavioural Research Ethics Board.  Any questions regarding your rights as a participant may be addressed to the Research Ethics Office toll free at 1-888-966-2975 or ethics.office@usask.ca .  Any questions about this survey can be e-mailed to Tatiana Novoselova, tan152@mail.usask.ca

Saskatchewan CHANGE DAY - November 6, 2014

The Health Quality (HQC) is encouraging everyone to make a pledge for the first-ever Saskatchewan Change Day, coming up on November 6! While health sytem transformation requires, the small actions we take and the thinngs we do every day do matter. Combined, those small actions can make a big difference.

How do I make a pledge?

Anyone who works in health care, or who receives health care, can take part in Change Day by making a pledge online at www.skchangeday.com until November 6. This year SK has a goal of reaching at least 1,000 pledges.
